Choosing the right hose
We offer 6 different types of hose to compliment our performance fittings range. Each hose has different advanatges and disadvantages depending on the required application.
100 Series - This is a rubber hose with braided stainless steel over the top.
Pros: This hose is great for oil coolers, breather hoses and fuel lines (not E85 compatible)
Cons: Not recommended for turbo oil drains or E85 fuel.
Notes: Running this hose very close to exhaust manifolds and turbos will shorten it's lifespan.
200 Series - This is a Teflon (PTFE) hose with braided stainless steel over the top.
Pros: This hose is great for oil coolers, breather hoses, fuel lines, E85 and pretty much anything.
Cons: Bend radius is not as tight as 100 & 450 series hose.
Notes: Running this hose very close to exhaust manifolds and turbos is not recommended, however it will hold up better than 100 series.
250 Series - This is a Teflon (PTFE) hose with braided stainless steel over the top and then finished with a black nylon braid.
Pros: This hose is great for oil coolers, breather hoses, fuel lines, E85 and pretty much anything.
Cons: Bend radius is not as tight as 100 & 450 series hose.
Notes: Not suitable to be used in high heat areas such as near exhausts and turbos. The black nylon overbraid will melt!
400 Series - This is a rubber hose commonly used with push lock fittings.
Pros: This hose is great for oil coolers, breather hoses and fuel lines (not E85 compatible)
Cons: Not recommended for turbo oil drains or E85 fuel.
Notes: Not suitable to be used in high heat areas such as near exhausts and turbos.
450 Series - This is a rubber hose with braided stainless steel over the top and then finished with a black nylon braid.
Pros: This hose is great for oil coolers, breather hoses and fuel lines (not E85 compatible)
Cons: Not recommended for turbo oil drains or E85 fuel.
Notes: Not suitable to be used in high heat areas such as near exhausts and turbos. The black nylon overbraid will melt!
Aluminium Hardline - As the name suggests, this is an aluminum tube or hardline roll.
Pros: Perfect for turbo oil drains and any other high heat areas. Will not melt or burn.
Cons: Can be tricky to bend into shape without the correct bending tools (plumbers copper bending tools work great)
Notes: The anodised hardline can discolour over time when exposed to high heat.
