Front Main Crank Seal/ SR20 (fits KA24E)

Needed to replace after market front main seal, which was installed after timing chain etc replacement. The aftermarket seal leaked badly on initial startup, I then ordered a replacement seal from EFI, which was a Nissan part, stopped the leak. The only difference I noticed was that the rubber of the Nissan seal was more flexible (more rubbery, for lack of a better word, the aftermarket was a stiffer compound, I assume it lacked the flex to conform to the shafts wear. I also replaced the rear main crank seal and the gear box main shaft seal with Nissan seals, supplied by EFI, (no leaks) I'm glad I used Nissan seals now, might be a few dollars more but worth the investment, better than having to pull the engine out again. I recommend using genuine parts when they are available. Also EFI does a excellent job in supplying/shipping parts very quickly, delivered within days not weeks, great job guys.
